South East US Boat Show at Prime Osborne Center
Event runs Friday through Sunday, Sept. 19th - 21st, 2008

North Florida is the ideal host location for this major regional marine showcase for many reasons. “Jacksonville is a large recreational marine market, and the area features an eclectic range of boating activities,” says event producer Jimmy Hill. “A boater on one watercraft can go freshwater fishing in the morning, skiing or wakeboarding in the afternoon and bluewater fishing in the evening. It’s all here in one place, the lakes, rivers and offshore boating in an economically thriving community.
Hill has produced the Jacksonville International Boat Show every spring for the past 12 years. The April show is famous for its strategic marketing and customer service, as well as a true feeling of hospitality towards vendors and guests. It has grown exponentially since its inception, and Hill expects the Southeast United States Boat Show to have an even greater economic impact throughout the region.
Centrally located in the Southeast, downtown Jacksonville is easy to reach by water or Land from many of the South’s major cities. The Prime Osborn Convention Center offers large air conditioned and outdoor exhibit space, while the adjacent Jacksonville Landing accommodates in-water boats with a festive atmosphere.
Local dealers are excited to have a show of this size and scope in the heart of the region that features the participation of so many manufacturers, according to Mark Zeigler, president of the Jacksonville Marine Dealers Association. This significant marine marketplace comes to Jacksonville at a perfect time, September 19, 20, 21, 2008, and will showcase power, sail, freshwater and saltwater fishing boats, yachts, kayaks, boating accessories and everything in between.
This unique boat show has found a home where the folks are friendly, the tea is sweet and where you don’t have to pay $50.00 to park!
