JACKSONVILLE, FL (March 2008) -- "Enough Talk - The Jacksonville International Boat Show, returns to Metro Park April 18-20, 2008.

The boating industry has been spending a lot of time and energy trying to sell a boat," said Jimmy Hill, Show Producer. "We think what needs to happen and we are doing it, is a strong campaign that sells boating. When you show people all the opportunities that boating offers and put it in a geographical recognizable setting, the boats will sell themselves."

With that in mind the 12th annual Jacksonville International Boat Show is launching an exciting promotional campaign around the concept. Onlybyboat.info. This is a series of promotional activities that key off of the phrase only by boat showcases recreational boating in print ads, TV, and radio and other media.

The Jacksonville International Boat Show is the show that fills the gap between Stuart, FL and Charleston, SC. This large in water and on land boating event continues to be one of the fastest growing boat shows on the East Coast.

The theme for this year's event is "The History of Boating" with a focus on recreational boating in our region. The Jacksonville International Boat Show provides a variety of entertaining activities around a theme and it creates a fun day built entirely around boating.

These activities include great food and beverage with plenty of seating, the famous Tiki Bar atop the marina, live music and entertainment, educational seminars and clinics for all ages.

"This has had a major effect! More often than not, the whole family will come to the show. This fact has greatly increased the number of boat sales at past events because all of the decision makers are there. The family can start their boating adventure at the boat show," said Hill.

"Comfort and convenience is another key element of this event, including the mid-April dates which are boat show perfect weather wise. There is plenty of convenient parking on site and it should also be noted that we make special arrangements for vendor parking."

Your convenience is important to the success of the show. The show is laid out with the goal of getting every customer in front of every vendor. This objective is no small task in a 7 acre venue including two large marina areas.

Show hours are Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.; and Sunday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Admission is $10.00 for adults; Children and teens 16 years old and under FREE.
