Living in the Jacksonville area of Florida is great. We have access to many lakes, rivers and, of course, many miles of beaches and ocean. Parks and outdoor attractions abound, and the diverse makeup of the population provides a nice sampling of cultural and artistic events and venues. One drawback, however, is that the Jacksonville/First Coast area is so large and sprawling, that it is a challenge to stay informed of what's out there and available for the family to enjoy.

That is, until Family Fun on Florida's First Coast came along! This handy book breaks it all down for you in an easy, portable way, making planning outings and well, family fun, a breeze. Authors Jenny Conway and Paige Howell have certainly done their homework, not just detailing all the attractions, arts centers, and annual events, but also presenting them in a clear and logical manner to make finding what you are looking for that much easier.

The book covers the entire First Coast area, which stretches from the border with Georgia to the St. Augustine area. Topics covered include the arts, parks, sports and outdoor adventures, museums and historical places, attractions and tours, beaches, entertainment, kids meal deals, calendar of events, day trips and weekend adventures, and a list of online family resources.

We wholeheartedly recommend getting your own copy of Family Fun on Florida's First Coast, and get your family on track to fun outings and excursions.
