Event is a benefit for the Jacksonville Humane Society

Ortega Landing to Host 'Boats & Barks' Celebration

Ortega Landing, Jacksonville’s luxury condominium and marina development, is hosting the “Boats and Barks Celebration” on Saturday, August 8, 2009. The celebration will be held at the Ortega Landing Clubhouse at 4234 Lakeside Drive in Jacksonville from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. All proceeds, including dockage fees, go to support the Jacksonville Humane Society.

 

Attendees can come by land or sea with their dogs to attend the celebration. Some activities planned include:

  • Professional photographer to take photos of dogs and their best friends on their boat or land
  • Doggie bath in
  • Doggie fashion show
  • Doggie treats stand
  • Dog/owner look-alike contest
  • Auction
  • Raffle
  • Special dockage rates - $75/night

“Ortega Landing is excited to host this event on behalf of the Jacksonville Humane Society. It is a fun event for a good cause. Dogs and dog lovers alike will have a great time with the activities we have planned and great views of the Ortega River from our pool deck,” said Amy Schmid, Office Manager at Ortega Landing.
